Review: Secrets of Mouthwatering Marketing Copy, by Marcia Yudkin

 

This report is an excellent resource for any copywriter who wants to generate results, online or offline.

 

At 103 pages, it's a hefty document, and I first expected a fairly detailed overview of all aspects of copywriting.

 

But this isn't an 'overview' at all.

 

Marcia's report may not have the breadth I was expecting - but it has incredible depth in three key areas...

 

- Writing effective Offers
- Writing forceful Bullet Points, and
- Writing credible Testimonials

 

In addition, there is a whole 'Checklist' section with Do's and Don't for all your marketing materials.

 

And when I talk about 'depth', I'm not kidding. The section on bullet points is almost forty pages long!

 

Why do I like this report so much?

 

I like it because it is the perfect complement to my own style of working. I have one of those intuitive minds, which has led me to writing good copy only after many years of experience.

 

But Marcia seems to have a fiercely analytical mind, going through every aspect of copywriting, step by step, leaving no thought, no option and no opportunity unturned.

 

For me, this is exactly the kind of support I need. With this report in hand I can write my copy and then use these pages to go back and check what I have written. It's a great way to discipline yourself, and make sure you are writing as effectively as you possibly can.

 

And again, I don't know about you, but for myself I know that there are times when I should have gone back over what I have written a few more times. I'm confident about writing well, but sometimes have a sneaking suspicion that if I had been a little more methodical, I might have found places where I could have changed a few words and delivered something even better.

 

I would recommend this for pretty much any copywriter, whether you are just starting out, or have twenty years of experience under your belt. And everything she writes applies to both offline and online copywriting.
