A Web Copywriting Tip by Nick Usborne
Yes, you can pay for Pay Per Click advertising. Yes, you can buy banner ads.
And yes, you’d better have a newsletter and a growing subscriber list.
But if you want to do something that will consistently increase the number of visitors to your site...add content.
Add content pages regularly. Make a habit and a discipline of it.
When you are adding new pages with plenty of text content a few good things happen.
First, your visitors and subscribers know they can always look forward to something new when they come to your site. In other words, they know it’s worth coming back to visit again. You are increasing the value of your site.
Second, Google and the other major search engines will index each new page and list it on their results pages. And if you take a little trouble to research relevant keywords and optimize each new page, you can achieve some high listings.
Three, if you add new content pages two or three times a week, Google and the others will take note of the frequency and spider your site more often.
This isn’t a way to create a sudden surge of traffic, but it’s a great way to ensure a steady growth in visitors.
Fresh content adds value to your site and increases the amount of search engine traffic you will receive.
It takes time, but it’s worth it.
