A Web Copywriting Tip by Nick Usborne
I'm not going to question the value of the use of good keywords and key phrases in your web site copy and content.
The better the keywords, the better the listings your pages will get in the major search engines.
HOWEVER...don't become so obsessed with your keywords that you forget about writing naturally and persuasively to your human readers.
More and more often I come across web pages that have been so obviously written with the search engines in mind. This is nonsense. A spider bot will never become your customer, but I might.
And when a page is so clearly written to a search engine, the language feels unnatural and will not help you engage and persuade your human readers.
