Review:
SnagIt - Screen Capture Software from Techsmith Capture, edit and share screenshots for use in documents and presentations - or simply to file for future reference. You can even capture video clips.
Until a few months ago I was struggling with the Windows 'print screen' funtion, and becoming totally frustrated. I use a lot of screenshots both for the reports I write and for the PowerPoint files I put together for talks and seminars on writing for the web. The resolution was horrible, and I was having to use Photoshop to edit and crop the shots. In short, it was a bad sytem that wasted a lot of my time and never really gave me a good result. Enter SnagIt from Techsmith. Problem over. Instantly. And as you can see, this simple program has received plenty of recognition...
SnagIt is an inexpensive and simple program - but gives me all the flexibility and image quality I need. I now have a small icon on my browser and click it once whenever I need to capture anything. I can choose to capture the entire screen, a window, a particular area of a page by screen or through scrolling, text, cascading menus, video - whatever I want. I can then preview what I have captured and edit it. And then paste it to my clipboard or save it to a file, in just about any image format I could want. It's a one-stop capture
system that works perfectly for my particular needs. Like I said, I use
it constantly when I'm writing reports on web site for clients, and for
PowerPoint presentations. Find
