MarketingSherpa
Reports: For years now I have turned to MarketingSherpa as a primary source of information on internet marketing and copywriting. They have published dozens of reports, a few of which I feel have contributed significantly to my success as a copywriter, web content writer and online marketer. Whenever I find a MarketingSherpa report that I consider to be particularly useful or important, I write a review and add it to this site. Here is my pick of what I consider to be the most valuable MarketingSherpa reports...
This report from MarketingSherpa is the first I have seen that provides solid data on what does and doesn't make a difference to landing page conversion rates. Tons of data on copy and design strategies. Dozens of before and after examples and the improvements achieved. Read my review of the Landing Page Handbook
The core purpose of all 300-plus pages is to help you optimize your online marketing efforts and increase conversion rates and revenues. As always with MarketingSherpa, this report is not a collection of expert opinions, but a compendium of results -- including 311 charts, 23 heatmaps (eyetracking) and data from 1,101 companies which have been tracking their own performance online.
This guide comes out once a year, and at 150 pages this year's guide is more comprehensive than ever. If you are involved in email marketing, you'll find figures and tactics here to help you make significant improvements to the performance of your email campaigns. Read my review...
Weighing in at a little over 100 pages, this report looks at the results of using eye tracking technology to determine how visitors see Google results pages, and where they click. Whether your focus is on organic listing, Google Adword ads, or both, youll find this report both fascinating and useful. Read my review of the Google Eye Tracking Report...
