As a rule of thumb, if a copywriting course is free, I wouldn't take it too seriously.
HOWEVER, as in all things, there are rare exceptions.
Here are the exceptions...ANY course or product from Ken Evoy of Site Build It has my complete approval. (I say this because I know Ken personally, have gone through his products one by one, and always find myself nodding in agreement.)
The Netwriting Masters Course
This free copywriting
course is available as a quick download. As with all of Ken's work, it
is filled with solid advice and an exceptionally clear understanding of
what it takes to pre-sell and sell on the Web.
If you are about to write the text for a web site, or want to improve the performance of an existing site, I strongly recommend this course.

A great deal of attention is paid to sites that sell solid
goods. Whether you're talking about selling chocolates, bicycle parts
or books, you'll find tons of advice out there on how to build sites that
sell 'things'.
But what about selling services? Whether you are selling a home-cleaning service, real estate services or writing services, there is a huge amount a well-written web site can do for you.
