AWAI: American Writers and Artists Institute
The American Writers and Artists Institute has created a wide variety of programs and courses for freelance writers, copywriters and artists.
Soon after I began writing the Excess Voice newsletter I started receiving inquiries from readers about finding courses they could take to teach them the skills of copywriting and running a freelance writing business.
At first, I really didn't know what to suggest, as I had never found any courses I considered to be worth recommending. And then I came across AWAI. There are a number of high-profile writers and entrepreneurs involved with the company, some of whose names you might recognize: Michael Masterson, Don Mahoney, Bill Bonner and Bob Bly, to mention just a few.
Anyway, I have now reviewed a number of their courses and consider them to be excellent. If you are in the freelance writing or copywriting business, it will be worth your while to consider taking one or more of these courses.
